Florence Freitag (she/they) is a Berlin based performer/dancer, voice-&video artist, writer, facilitator & curator, inspired by the strength of collaborative work. Florence is co-founder of TanzRaumGörlitz, as well as Neisse Center for Contemporary Arts e.V., and half of transatlanticbirdscrew (with Camille Jemelen), practicing&facilitating embodied thinking and reflecting upon sensorial and sensual ways of being in the world. Florence’s voice work brings attention to inner and outer landscapes, a.o. working with and for Federica Sosta, Lisa Stewart, Zorka Wollny (Psychedelic Choir), Ashley Fure & Lilleth Glimcher. In 2020/21 Florence is co-curator of TanzTageGörlitz and, together with Rosalind Masson, focuses on earthly coexistence, bringing them closer to questions of ecological care and listening.
Florence also works as freelance camerawoman for a diverse range of artists and institutions in the performing arts. At Altes Finanzamt, Florence co-curates the series „The Urge to…“ together with member Diana Thielen.
